Corporate Sponsors

Sail training is an immensely powerful tool for social development, but requires significant financial support. We rely on the generosity and support of businesses to continue providing this unique opportunity to northern communities.
We would like to thank all of the companies that have supported us so generously donating not only funds but equipment and time. We endeavor to continue to develop the partnerships we have with our corporate sponsors and we welcome the chance to develop new partnerships also.

In donating safety equipment Jotron are proud to assist OYT North in giving youngsters opportunities to develop life skills, encouraging teamwork, self confidence and personal development irrelevant of background, education or physical ability.
Utilizing the “James Cook” in such a positive manor mirrors the Jotron Group policy of community support particularly offering youngsters a positive outlook. (

North Standard

Since 2010, NorthStandard has supported the OYT North as part of our Corporate Responsibility (CSR) programme. North’s CSR programme aims to support local charities such as the OYT North which have strong links with the maritime community, a fundamental feature of our own organisation. Our staff are committed to fundraising initiatives locally and within the wider shipping community aimed at supporting such charitable causes. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with OYT North in the future and we are pleased that the North 150 Fund has contributed to such a worthy cause. (

HE Woolley is delighted to help OYT North with its important work to develop young people in the North of England.  We are a local, privately owned company and our staff, whether young or not (!) are the lifeblood of the organisation.  If we could give them the experience and life coaching available on James Cook we would count ourselves very lucky indeed.
