Interested in running the Great North Run 2017? We’d love to support you!

A-hoy! Put those sea legs on the ground!

The Great North Run (GNR) is the world’s biggest half marathon and takes place on Sunday the 10th September. It’s a 13.1-mile journey from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne to the coast in South Shields. For more information on the Great North Run, you can visit their website at www.greatrun.org/great-north-run

Although Ocean Youth Trust North do not have any charity places in the Great North Run, we still want to support you!

What you have to do?

  • Register for the GNR general ballot (£54 entry)
  • The money for the GNR will not be taken from your account unless you have been successful in the general ballot stage
  • If you are successful in the general ballot, you can then set up a JustGiving page to raise donations for OYT North.

What we will do for you? To show our support;

  • We will reimburse 10% of the money you raise to go towards your GNR entry fee (up to a maximum of £54)
  • Give you a OYT North running top to wear on the day if you raise over £100!
  • (If you raise under £100, they will still be available to purchase for £10)

If you’re interested, email Charlotte at charlotte.young@oytnorth.org.uk, who will confirm your interest and provide you with any further information you may need.

Hurry, the general ballot closes on Monday the 6th of February!
